Three Night Christmas Break Grasmere
We offer a three night package inclusive of your accommodation, full Lakeland breakfast, Christmas Day Luncheon and a truly Festive atmosphere. Guests are also able to extend their stay with discounted rates for accommodation.
Christmas Eve
Arrive in time to enjoy a welcoming glass of mulled wine served in the walkers lounge, after which its time to settle into your rooms. Dinner will be served from 7pm in the restaurant for those who will be joining us, after which we hope you will join us for a relaxing evening in the bar lounge. Guests who wish to attend Midnight services may do so at Churches in Grasmere and enjoy a warming glass of mulled wine upon your return.
Christmas Day
Awake in the morning to see if a special visitor has been to The Traveller's Rest! Join us for a traditional Lakeland breakfast and spend the rest of the morning at your leisure - perhaps take a walk through the surrounding countryside to work up an appetite for our legendary Christmas Day Luncheon! After lunch, we will be serving coffee and mince pies in time to watch the Queens Speech.
In the evening our Head Chef and his team will be serving a light buffet, after which we hope you will join us for a relaxing evening in the bar lounge.
Boxing Day
Awake in the morning to a Cumbrian breakfast, before enjoying your day at leisure - perhaps take a walk on the surrounding fells or visit the Low Wood Leisure Centre to burn off some of those calories! For something a little less energetic, take a stroll around the picturesque village of Grasmere or visit one of teh many excellent attractions in the region.
For those who will be dining with us this evening, make sure you return in time for one last dinner in our restaurant before settling down dor a relaxing evening by the open fire.

30 December
Take time to settle into your rooms before joining us in the walkers lounge for a warming glass of mulled wine by the open fire. For those dining with us this evening, our welcome dinner will be served in the restaurant from 7pm. After dinner, we hope you will join us in the bar lounge to sample some of our local real ales or have a glass of wine from our extensive selection before retiring for the evening.
New Year's Eve
Awake in the morning to a traditional Lakeland breakfast enjoying your day at leisure - perhaps take an energetic walk through the surrounding fells or take a stroll around one of the local towns & villages. Make sure you return in plenty of time for this evening celebrations! We start our evening in the restaurant where our Head Chef and his team will be serving our legendary New Years Eve Gala Dinner. After dinner we request your company in the bar where we will be welcoming in the new year with auld lang syne and champagne at midnight.
New Year's Day
Happy New Year! Join us for a leisurely late breakfast before setting out to explore the stunning scenery that surrounds you - maybe take a cruise on nearby Lake Windermere or enjoy a scenic drive. Alternatively, our bar and restaurant will be open all day for those who simply wish to take it easy. For those dining with us this evening, make sure you return in time for our farewell dinner, before joining us for a relaxing evening in the bar lounge.
2nd of January
For those of you who will be leaving us today, we will say our goodbyes after another hearty Lakeland Breakfast. However, for those who can stay a little longer, we invite you to stay with preferential rate for accommodation.

Rates are per person for our 3 night package inclusive of accomodation, full Lakeland breakfast, service and VAT. Christmas Package includes Christmas Day Luncheon and evening buffet. New Year Package includes New Years Eve Gala Dinner.

We regret that we are unable to accommodate children at The Travellers Rest Inn. However we do provide family rooms at our sister properties:
The Kings Head Hotel at Thirlmere, near Keswick &
Sweeney's Bar Restaurant & Rooms in Keswick.
Booking Terms & Conditions
To secure a booking for a Christmas or New Year package, we require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total value of the booking per person. The remaining balance is due no later than 4 weeks prior to arrival. Additional items such as drinks are payable upon departure from the Hotel.
Package bookings cancelled more than 4 weeks prior to the arrival date are subject to a cancellation charge equal to 50% of the total value of the booking per person. Package bookings cancelled less than 4 weeks prior to the arrival date are subject to a cancellation charge equal to the total value of the booking per person.
