By Car
From the North: Exit the M6 at junction 40 and take the A66 toward Keswick. Before Keswick turn onto the A591 toward Windemere. The Kings Head Hotel is located 6 miles South of Keswick on the A591.
From the South: Exit the M6 at junction 36 and take the A590 toward Windemere and the A591. Continue to Thirlmere and The Kings Head Hotel located 20 miles to the North of Windemere on the A591.
By Rail
From the North: Take the train to Carlisle and transfer to the Number 555 bus for Lancaster from outside the station, asking the driver to stop at The Kings Head Hotel at Thirlmere.
From the South: Take the train to Windemere and transfer to the Number 555 bus for Carlisle from outside the station, asking the driver to stop at The Kings Head Hotel at Thirlmere.
By Bus
From the North: Take the Number 555 bus from Carlisle toward Lancaster from outside the train station at Carlisle, asking the driver to stop at The Kings Head Hotel at Thirlmere.
From the South: Take the Number 555 bus for Carlisle from outside the train station at Windemere, asking the driver to stop at The Kings Head Hotel at Thirlmere.
