A591 - Voted Best Drive in Europe

The Lake District has recently been the recipient of a number of awards...

Among them, the A591 running from Kendal to Keswick has been voted one of the best three drives in Europe.

This award came with courtesy of European car rental specialists Alamo Rent  A Car, and the A591 featured ahead of European hotspots such as the Italian Amalfi Coast and Val d'lsere in the French Alps.

We have six gorgeous properties that feature along this stretch of scenic road.  You can visit our three self catering holiday cottages - Bramrigg, Scandale Bridge and Ghyllburn or our pubs and 17th century inns - The Traveller's Rest, King's Head or Sweeney's.

Every property is in walking or driving distance from Keswick, Grasmere and Ambleside and has amazing views of the Lake District National park.
