We offer a three night package inclusive of your accommodation, full Lakeland breakfast, evening meals in our award winning St. Johns Restaurant, four course Christmas Day Luncheon and a truly Festive atmosphere. Guests are also able to extend their stay with discounted rates for accommodation.
Christmas Eve
Take time to settle into your rooms before joining us in the residents' lounge for a traditional afternoon tea served by the open fire.
In the evening our welcome dinner will be served in our award winning St John's Restaurant followed by coffee in the lounge. Our bar
will be open this evening for guests who wish to enjoy a relaxing drink. Guests who wish to attend Midnight services may do so at churches in Keswick or Grasmere and enjoy a warming glass of mulled wine on your return.
Christmas Day
Merry Christmas! Join us for a hearty Lakeland breakfast and find out if a special visitor has been to the King's Head! Relax and enjoy the rest of your morning at leisure before joining us for our legendary Christmas Day Luncheon served in the St John's Restaurant with its sweeping views of the surrounding fells. Make sure you leave room for coffee and mince pies to be served in the lounge before settling down to watch the Queen's speechat 3pm. This evening our Head Chef will be serving a Cumbrian buffet featuring traditional Lakeland specialities in the St John's Restaurant, after which we hope you will join us for a relaxing evening in the bar lounge.
Boxing Day
After breakfast, take time to explore the spectacular scenery that surrounds you - perhaps take a scenic drive or a cruise on nearby Derwentwater.
Our bar restaurant will be open all day for those who just wish to relax. Return to the Hotel in time for our farewell dinner before joining us in the bar for an evening of live music.
27th December
For those of you who will be leaving us today, we will say our goodbyes after another hearty Lakeland breakfast.
Three Night New Year Break Thirlmere
We offer a three night package inclusive of your accommodation, full Lakeland breakfast, evening meals in our award winning St. Johns Restaurant and our New Years Eve Gala Dinner & Dance where our Head Chef Andy Slaven will be serving a sumptuous four course dinner in our award winning St. Johns Restaurant followed by a disco and Midnight firework display to welcome in the New Year. Guests are also able to extend their stay with discounted rates for accommodation.
30 December
Arrive in plenty of time to enjoy a warming glass of mulled wine served by the open fire and unwind after your journey. Take your time to settle into your room before joining us in the early evening for a sumptuous dinner in our award winning St Johns Restaurant presided over by our Head Chef, After dinner, we hope you will join us in the bar lounge to sample our local real ales or enjoy a glass of wine from our extensive selection.
New Year's Eve
Awake refreshed in the morning and enjoy a traditional Lakeland breakfast before heading out to explore your spectacular surroundings - perhaps take a scenic drive or explore the picturesque local towns and villages. Make sure you return in plenty of time to get ready for the night ahead! The celebrations begin this evening with pre dinner drinks in the lounge followed by our legendary New Years Eve Gala Dinner in teh St Johns Restaurant. After dinner we request your company in the bar where we will be celebrating the New Year with champagne at Midnight followed by dancing into the small hours.

Booking Terms & Conditions
To secure a booking for a Christmas or New Year package, we require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total value of the booking per person. The remaining balance is due no later than 4 weeks prior to arrival. Additional items such as drinks are payable upon departure from the Hotel.
Package bookings cancelled more than 4 weeks prior to the arrival date are subject to a cancellation charge equal to 50% of the total value of the booking per person. Package bookings cancelled less than 4 weeks prior to the arrival date are subject to a cancellation charge equal to the total value of the booking per person.
*Package includes children's meals instead of full dinner.
