Before your stay

We will be in contact with you once you have made your booking to confirm all details of your stay.

You will be asked if you wish to dine with us.

These can be selected from the online menus provided when we contact you to confirm your details.

You will be given the option to pre-pay in full.

During your stay we would again ask you to pre order your dining requirements for both dinner and breakfast.

On arrival

After parking please come to reception via The Hotel entrance. Please do not use the Bar entrance.

Please come to reception while observing the markings on the floor and signs, to indicate social distancing.

Perspex screens have been fitted to Reception and Bar areas to assist in hygienic distancing between staff and guests.

You will be greeted at reception. Should you be dining with us, you will be presented with the dinner and breakfast menus and asked to provide your choices for dinner that evening and breakfast the following morning. This is to minimise guest and staff contact throughout your stay.

If you have taken advantage of the option to pre-pay you will be given your room key and given directions to your room.

If you have not pre-paid in full we will ask you to present your credit card for contactless information to be taken.

Signage has also been installed to advise of Government required social distancing within the property.

Assistance with baggage and showing to rooms

We will not be providing assistance with baggage to bedrooms or showing guests to rooms.

This is part of our policy to ensure we limit direct contact between Guests and Staff as much as possible.

We will offer this service for any guests with mobility issues and staff will be provided with the correct PPE for both guest and staff safety.

If you are visiting us and require help, please let us know when you make your booking, so we can arrange this prior to your arrival.

Guest bedrooms - Additional levels of housekeeping

In addition to our usual high levels of housekeeping, cleanliness and hygiene, we are introducing disinfectant fogging machines which will be used to sanitise your room as part of an enhanced cleaning procedure.

These machines provide protection both for the staff servicing the bedrooms and the guests using them.

Your bedroom will then be sealed in order to confirm no Staff or Guests have entered since this cleaning process.

A notice on the door will confirm this process has taken place, dated and signed by the housekeeper who has serviced the room.

Guest bedrooms will be serviced following the second night of any stay at an agreed time when guests are not present.

Upon request, we are also happy to leave fresh supplies of linens and in room consumables in sealed bags outside bedroom doors and collect any used linens, so as to minimise the time spent in guest rooms by our housekeeping staff.

Contactless payment policy

Any payments made on the property should be made with contactless credit or debit cards.

The use of cash should be kept to a minimum.

Restaurant, Bar, Lounge and Garden areas

All seating areas across our bar restaurant lounge and garden areas have been re-configured to ensure safe distancing is maintained in line with current government guidance.

Tables, chairs and other services will be sanitised after use.

To assist with social distancing, we request all residents only use their bedroom toilet facilities where ever possible.

All public facilities available for non-resident guests will be subject to current social distancing guidelines and regular cleaning.

Sanitiser will be provided across all public areas and guests are encouraged to sanitise their hands before and after use, in addition to regular cleaning by our team.

Appropriate Government and Lake District National park Authority signage will be in place across all public areas reminding guests of any specific guidelines.

All guests are encouraged to take time to familiarise themselves with the regulations in place and to comply with them at all times.
